The Nintendo DSi has been released in Japan and is available through import for those of you who absolutely need this new upgrade.

The DSi comes with a built-in microphone, two cameras and is slightly fatter around the edges.

Quite why Nintendo thought we needed these upgrades on our DS’s is anyone’s guess.  Surely no one looked at their Ds’s and thought they needed cameras?

Don’t they have those things on phones these days?

The tech added is already dated by mobile phone standards, so what’s the point?
