If you haven’t bought an XBOX 360 yet and are simply waiting for the price to become a little more affordable then you’ll be waiting for years according to the latest statement from Microsoft who were quite clear that their consoles’ current price-points are as cheap as they are going to get for many years.

So basically, the price you see now is the price you’re gonna be seeing next Christmas and the Christmas after that.

Still, the consoles’ entry price is the cheapest out of the three main consoles and I’m assuming Microsoft will maintain that advantage until at least next summer when the Wii will probably lower its price.  As for the PS3, there will be very little movement on their price structure for the foreseeable future.

Basically, if you haven’t yet joined the “next” generation of games consoles then this is as cheap as all three will get for at least eight months.
