NAMCO BANDAI ARE SUFFERING!!!
The large Japanese based company has released its games sales for the year 2008 and it doesn’t look good. The profits have gone down from $45.4 million last year to $3.4 million this year. That has followed a dip in revenue which equates to about 70 million sales lost compared to the previous year.
Sales had been improved by the release of Dragonball Z Burst Limit which was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 this year. Surprisingly though, the PS2 platform version was still their most successful seller followed by Nintendo DS.
However, if you are a Namco Bandai fan then don’t panic! (and if you aren’t, don’t celebrate quite yet…) The overall company sales and accounts look much healthier with only a marginal drop from $1.2 billion to $1 billion.
Namco Bandai will be back.
