Hugh Jackman, set to star in new movie Australia alongside Nicole Kidman, has been voted the peoples Sexiest Man of 2008, in a recent survey done by People Magazine.

It probably meant more to the Aussie than to most, as he claims he was often teased about his looks when he was younger; aquiring the nickname ‘Sticks’ at school due to his ‘chicken legs’.

Jackman then went on to reveal that he was single for most of his 20′s – which, incidentally, so was Splash actress Daryl Hannah, who also complained of being chronically shy.

I suddenly feel so much better about myself. Huh.
