What Doesn’t Kill You Trailer Released!

The trailer for Ethan Hawke’s new movie has finally been released. What Doesn’t Kill You, which also stars Mark Ruffalo, surrounds the story of two childhood friends who have turned to crime.
Ruffalo plays Brian; a petty thief who joined a criminal gang, and after being in prison feels the rift between himself and his wife and son. Amidst his ‘work’, he is also trying to reconcile his friendship with Paulie (Hawke).

Apparently, for Brian Goodman (who is the writer/director of this film) this is an autobiographical tale of his early life. Scarily.

But for Hawke, it looks like it could really bring him back to the limelight. It looks gritty, savage and real. I feel that we’ve lost a lot of reality in these supposedly ‘real’ films, such as James Bond. I mean, how many people go leaping off buildings and sleeping with millions of women (If you’re reading this and thinking ‘I do’, you need some help…)
