The new Stargate spinoff Stargate Universe has got its new leader; Robert Carlyle.
That’s right, the Scottish actor is going to head up the cast of the new direction for the Stargate franchise. The plot sees Carlyle playing Dr. David Rush as the head of a group of scientists and civilians who are left to fend for themselves when they are forced through a stargate after their secret base comes under attack. Carlyle and his fellow survivors find themselves on an ancient ship which is lost in the far reaches of space and it is his job to unlock the ship’s mysteries and find a way to return home.
