Remember the PSP-4000?  Well it’s going to be released next year; to be followed by a successor at a later date.

I know what you’re all thinking – the PSP-3000 only released this October. Yeah, and there’s a little thing called a recession going on, Sony. Money is tight right now, and with your main PS3 console still RRPing at over £300, bringing out a new model so quickly is going to be disasterous surely?

The fiasco with the PSP-3000 games options has only confirmed this – there are only slim pickings where the console is concerned. Still, apparently it’s had strong sales in Japan (selling over 30 million units already) which will propel them further.

It’ll be RRPing at around £129.99 if it’s anything like it’s predecessor. No thanks, SCE. I can think of many things that I’d rather spend one hundred and thirty pounds on – like you know, food and electricity.
