Captain Buck Rogers Is Back!

This is the news I’ve been waiting for for all my adult life.

The best line ever uttered on a TV show period!

Buck Rogers is coming back!!

And Frank Miller is going to direct!!!

I’m running out of exclamation marks here so I’ll slow down and cast an analytical eye over what I just wrote…

Frank Miller?

Hang on, THE Frank Miller?

Oh please no.  The guy will definitely turn Buck dark, or so the Internet says.  Does this mean it’s going to be completely CGI with grotesque sub-human caricatures instead of likable fleshed-out characters?

I don’t know what to feel here, on one hand my hero Captain Buck Rogers is returning but on the other one, Frank freaking Miller is going to direct it.  Don’t get me wrong I can appreciate Frank Miller’s movie work so far, but it doesn’t  mean I have to fawn over all his work like he’s some kind of visionary.

But still, it is nice to have Buck back.
