The third game in the Red Faction series sees you adopt the role of Alec Mason, a miner turned revolutionary as he attempts to bring down the corrupt EDF (Earth Defence Force)

What we know

Set on Mars.  Is an open world third person shooter.  Powered by a real-time physics engine which enables the player to create all kinds of crazy damage to the environment.  From the makers of the Saints Row series.

Why we should be excited

Ambitious scope.   The freedom to explore Mars at your own will.   The sheer amount of destruction you can wreak.

Why we should be wary

It’s Red Faction and if it’s like the previous games then it will just fall short of being a classic.   The destructive open world environment could be buggy.   Could be trying to include too much.   A change from the previous first person perspective to third could alienate fans of the series.
