No New Consoles Anytime Soon!
It looks like the current generation of consoles will be around a lot longer than previously thought, due in no small part to the current global economic crisis.
Normally, especially where the Xbox 360 is concerned, we should be hearing rumblings of a new console but Microsoft’s president of Entertainment and Devices Robbie Bach has predicted that consumers will not be so eager to rush to stores to buy any new consoles any time soon.
With Sony talking about a ten year lifespan for their PS3, which has been out for three years ,there is no rush to begin the next chapter of the console wars.
This is good news for all owners of any of the current generation hardware. Having some stability at this moment in time allows developers to truly push all platforms to their absolute limits.
