Gears of War The Movie Like Lord Of The Rings?
There’s a Gears of War movie on the way, well actually there’s three of them.
Underworld producer and Die Hard 4.0 director Len Wisman had this to say on the project…
“The hope is that we’re wanting to do a three movies and really cover the bases on everything. Basically a harder edged Lord Of The Rings.”
A harder edged Lord Of The Rings?
Mmm, has he even played Gears of War?
Doesn’t sound like it to me.
Call me pessimistic but things don’t look good for the movie adaptation of Gears. To even use Lord Of The Rings in the same sentence shows the guy knows nothing about the Gears universe.
I mean, I’ve played through both games and not once did I ever put the pad down and remark to myself that “hey, this is exactly like Lord Of The Rings“.
I do not like the sound of where this movie is going.

Sweet, maybe they will have to drop a magical cog tag in some random ravine. This will be about as good as In the Name of the king. Now that movie was a winner.
