Fox have acquired the rights to Samson, a futuristic retelling of the biblical Samson and Delilah story.

I am Legend director Francis Lawrence will helm the project while 8 Mile scriptwriter Scott Silver will take up writing duties.

How cool is this.  A futuristic Samson and Delilah?

I can’t believe how excited I am.

Setting the story of the invicible Samson in the future is absolutely genius.  I can see it now, Samson kicking all kinds of ass in the opening five minutes.  Kind of like the opening scene of the terminator with Samson crushing the skulls of his fallen foes with his size tens as lazer blasts fill the apocolyptic night sky…

I want Lost’s Josh Holloway as Samson!

I mean, he’s got the attitude to play someone invincible and, well, his hair is, well, what can I say about his hair other than it looks Godly.
