Wii Fit Is Still Number One!
Wii Fit is still number one in the games chart for the “UK All Formats”, and it’s only been on the market for 9 months according to gamesindustry.biz. It’s hardly surprising. The popularity of the Fit stems from the fact that it’s accessible to all ages/genders. The sales figures are still good – the fitness title rose 21 per cent, holding off Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War at number two.
In other games, the highest new entry this week comes from EA’s Skate 2, ahead of the publisher’s other titles FIFA 09 and Lord of the Rings: Conquest. Mario Kart Wii re-enters the charts at eight this week, and renewed stock of Professor Layton and the Curious Village pushes back into the charts at number ten.
The chart is as follows:
- 01 Wii Fit
- 02 Call of Duty: World at War
- 03 Skate 2
- 04 FIFA 09
- 05 The Lord of the Rings: Conquest
- 06 Wii Play
- 07 My Fitness Coach
- 08 Mario Kart Wii
- 09 Tomb Raider: Underworld
- 10 Professor Layton and the Curious Village
