Wii Fit to Receive It’s Own Channel!

Nintendo has today unveiled plans that it is planning to make a Wii Fit Body Check Channel that will “correlate player data” and offer “ongoing health and fitness advice”, according to gamesindustry.biz.

They claim that this will also provide medical professionals with valuable research data. The first companies are Japanese giants NEC, Panasonic and Hitachi, according to Andriasang, and each will use the data in different ways.

NEC plan to use the Channel to get employees and their families fit and healthy whereas Panasonic have decieded to cater for  insurance companies and health organisations. As for air dates, NEC and Panasonic hope to go live from April, while Hitachi will roll out sometime next month if everything goes well.

If you read my article yesterday, then you will know that the news comes as Wii Fit enjoys a second week atop the UK All-Formats chart, despite it’s short release time. Nintendo keep on triumphing time and again.
