Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again!

The news just in is that Mamma Mia! and Quantum of Solace have helped the UK box office to a record- breaking year. Cinema-goers spent nearly £950m in 2008 which, incidentally, is the highest box office receipts since records began in 1989. Rockstar has announced that there will be NO retail GTA relased in 2009. Fantastic Four star Chris Evans has also joined the cast, playing boyfriend No.2, a pro skateboarder-turned Hollywood superstar. This is a strange sounding movie that you just know is going to become a cult classic… Tweet This Post

Microsoft Confrontation With EU!

The European Commission has accused Microsoft of “harming competition by bundling its Internet Explorer browser with its Windows operating system”. The commission stated that “it had reached the preliminary view that the US software giant had undermined consumer choice and infringed EU rules”. Microsoft and the European Union have been at loggerheads over this issue for ages and this is not the first time that Microsoft have been fined by the EU (Last year, the EU fined Microsoft $1.4bn; £680.9m). In its statement  the Commission also said: “Microsoft’s tying of Internet Explorer to the Windows operating system harms competition between web browsers, undermines product innovation and ultimately reduces consumer choice.” Microsoft’s reply was that it…
