Gary Dale Quits Take-Two!

Former Rockstar Games Chief Operating officer Gary Dale is leaving Take-Two. His choice to leave the company is somewhat a mystery, as no reasons for his departure have been given. All that is known is that he leaving immediately causing his day-to-day duties to cease straight away. Last year, Dale was promoted to COO, which made him responsible for publishing labels, sales, expansion and business development. The most curious thing? Watchmen Will Be Released In March!

Good News Everybody! Watchmen is back on course for it’s March 6th release after an agreement was reached between Warner Brothers and Fox. Finally all this “who’s got the rights nonsense” can be put to bed. In the settlement Fox walks away with a percentage of the box office while Warner Brothers won’t have to suffer the indignity of having the Fox logo at the beginning of their film. New GTA Coming This Year?

This is just a rumor at the moment but the talk buzzing around the internet is that there could be a brand new Grand Theft Auto game released this year and we’re not talking about downloadable content. The word currently doing the rounds is that it will be a full retail game set in Tokyo. This would actually make sense on a lot of levels.  Another GTA is basically a license to print money and if the game is released in November that would make it 18 months since the last GTA, which is a more than reasonable timeframe to turn a game around in. Steve Jobs – National Treasure?

“To some Steve Jobs is a national treasure and to others he is a visionary of the first order” states the BBC today. Apparently, these are just some of the views being expressed in “Silicon Valley” about the Apple co-founder. This follows the news that he is taking medical leave, for his illness. Mike Arrington who is the editor of the TechCrunch blog stated that: “Apple has become such an important part of the tech culture and they lead in so many ways with product visions, it’s unclear that without that leadership which Steve Jobs can provide if anyone else can do that”. “He has single-handedly brought the US back into the mobile ball game…
