Sylvester Stallone has gone on record as saying there will be a Rambo 5 and reports indicate it will be out in 2010.

Stallone had this to say…

“Yeah, we are doing another Rambo, but the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country.”

As you may remember, at the end of the last one Rambo found himself back in America, so you’d kind of think that when the shit hits the fan, that’s where it’s going to get smelly.

Although more worryingly, Stallone has previously stated that he wants to take the character in a different direction.

How different?

With Stallone, who knows?

Maybe it could a family comedy like Meet The Parents; Meet The Rambos anyone?

Or how about a spiritual sequel to Stop or my Mom will shoot?  You could call it Stop or my Mom will rip your head off and shit down your neck.

Of course these are merely suggestions but if you’re reading Sly; there’s yours for free.

Last years Rambo was one of my favorite movies, I liked it so much it compelled me to buy my first poster since I was a teenager.

Whatever he decides to do with the iconic character, as long as it’s not a musical, is fine with me.  I just want to see him again.
