Cate Blanchett has been linked to the part of Maid Marian in Ridley Scott’s upcoming adaptation of the Robin Hood legend Nottingham.

If true, Blanchett will star alongside Russell Crowe who is confirmed for the role of both Robin Hood and The Sheriff of Nottingham.

Yep, you read that right, both Robin Hood AND The Sheriff Of Nottingham, seems to me that in Scott’s version, the Sheriff has a secret identity not unlike a certain Bruce Wayne.

The film is scheduled for release in 2010.
