Director Bret Ratner has vowed that his upcoming Beverly Hills ‘reinvention’ will be more like the first two movies and nothing at all like the dreadful third one.

Written by the same team that penned last year’s Wanted, the new Beverly Hills Cop movie, which will have Eddie Murphy reprise his role as Axel Foley, will be aiming for an R-Rating.  (Which for those of you in the UK means an 18 certificate)

Could this be the role that sees Eddie Murphy return to his edgy roots?

I hope so.

I miss the 80′s Eddie Murphy.
