Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata has spoken about his desires to see more Resident Evil games on the Wii.

“Personally, I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family.”

Well, that all he said…

Nothing more specific than basically, watch this space.

So what can we expect?

Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is undoubtedly the best version of that game due to the fact that Capcom utilized the motion control perfectly.  So we know the Wii can put together a decent looking adventure.

But…

You can pretty much forget about any conversion of Resident Evil 5 as the Wii is simply not powerful enough to run the game, and any port would expose the consoles’ graphical limitations, though a unique accompaniment piece ala Code Veronica isn’t totally out of the question.

Anyway, watch this space…
