Taking of Pelham 123 Trailer Now Live!

The new John Travolta/Denzel Washington thriller Taking of Pelham 123 has now gone live at Yahoo Movies.

This is a remake of the original 1974 heist thriller Taking of Pelham One Two Three directed by Joseph Sargent. The new version, directed by Tony Scott, sees Washington’s New York subway controller go head-to-head with Travolta’s psycho criminal, after the latter hijacks a subway train.

The remake appears to be a much more intense and serious than the playful Sargent version, with “jazzy, flashy” camerawork and whiplash editing. (As is the way with so many directors nowadays.)
