Twilight fans will be pleased to hear the news that Summit Entertainment have announced a June 30 2010 release date for the third installment of the vampyric films Twilight. It is going to be called Eclipse according to sources. Fans will know that the second book New Moon is already in hurried production. That is due on screens in the UK on November 27 – a week after the US airdate. According to Empire the movies will be made “back-to-back” in a bid to keep Robert Pattinson as youthful as possible, to preserve the illusion of immortality. Blu-ray Sales Predictions Rocket!
Predictions state that consumers are going to be likely to buy more than 100 million Blu-ray discs this year, research shows. It also indicates that the greater prevalence of “high definition TVs and reductions in Blu-ray player prices will fuel interest in the discs despite the economic downturn” according to gamesindustry.biz. Mai Hoang, senior market analyst at the company Futuresource who held the instigation stated: “In the USA, Blu-ray has moved from early adopter phase through to early majority, with the format gaining real traction in the marketplace. Last year in the US alone, Blu-ray video retail sales increased by a whopping 320 per cent to 24 million units; and we’re going to see momentum…

Capcom Confirms Lost Planet 2!
Capcom announced today that Lost Planet 2 would be coming to the Xbox 360 but failed to mention whether or not PS3 owners would get a version. The game will have quite a few changes from the first Lost Planet, most notably in the different enviroments you’ll get to play in. Set 10 to 20 years after the original, the snow, which was a big part of the first game, has now melted; giving way to a world of jungles and other more urban settings. Street Fighter IV Ships Two Million!
Capcom have announced that Street Fighter 4 has shipped an amazing two million units in its first week on sale. Pretty impressive eh? Add that figure to the Street Fighter 4′s reviews, which have been consistently excellent, and you’ve got a smash hit on your hands. Shipping two million units doesn’t necessarily equate to 2 million sales but with the amount of buzz surrounding the game those units won’t be sitting around in warehouses for too long.
