Keira Knightley has signed on the star in Never Let Me Go, an adaption of the sci-fi novel by Kazyuo Ishiguro.

Never Let Me Go tells the tale of three friends who grow up together in a boarding school, who then discover that they are clones who are bred for organ donation, and guess what, they haven’t got long to live.

This sounds a lot like The Island to me, and while the producers will do everything they can to distance themselves from that movie, it still remains essentially the same plot.

The difference, they will say, between Never Let Me Go and the Island is that Never Let Me Go will have “proper” actors acting their asses off and focus less on the action that The Island favored.

And to that I shall say; “Shut up.  It’s the same stupid movie”.
