Activision Announce Guitar Hero Greatest Hits!

Activision has officially announced that Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits will be released in the summer.

The greatest hits package will include “some of the most famous AND infamous tracks from Guitar Hero I,II,Rocks the 80s and III“.

All the tracks will be playable in Band Career mode, which means even if you do own all the previous incarnations of Guitar Hero, the Greatest Hits package will mark the first time you will be able to play through your favorite tracks as a band.

But you don’t have to worry about any new peripherals cluttering up your already cluttered living rooms, as Activision have stated that no new instruments or peripherals will be released to coincide with the game.

The game will be a standalone release.
