Over at aintitcool.com an industry “spy” has apparently leaked some information on the next wave of Marvel Superhero Movies.

Here’s a quick rundown…

The Avengers

The Avengers movie is delayed a year due to financial issues. They want John Favreau to direct the movie but he’s tied up with Iron Man 2 and had the schedule not been altered it would have been impossible for him to helm both movies. Now the movie has been put back it puts Favreau firmly in the frame.

Iron Man 2

Is due to star rehearsals in a few days, which is why yesterday there were quite a few casting announcements.

Thor

Alexander Skargard is the favorite to play Thor while Stellan Skarsgard is being lined up to play Odin. Loki will probably be played by Josh Hartnett if they can agree financial terms.

Daredevil and Fantastic Four

Fox are reportedly keen on rebooting both of these. Apparently Fox have to make new movies with the properties every few years or the rights revert back to Marvel.
