Smashing Pumpkins Drummer Leaves Band!

Jimmy Chamberlin has left the Smashing Pumpkins.

No reason has been given as of yet, the Smashing Pumpkins Web Site simply states that the 44 year old has left the group.

The Pumpkins, who split up in 2000 only to reunited six years later will continue without Chamberlin with Billy Corgan vowing to “continue to write and record as Smashing Pumpkins with plans to head into the studio this spring.”

    Gutted – i love the Pumpkins but it'll never be the same until James Iha, D'Arcy and Jimmy are back.
