Director Spike Jonze’s new film Where the Wild Things Are has finally released had it’s trailer released, after only “teasing” us with some still images (courtesy of EmpireOnline) and not much else.

The trailer literally screams Pan’s Labyrinth at me. In fact, it’s so similar even down to the fact that the trailer doesn’t include dialogue (if you ignore the first few seconds that is). It looks as if Del Torro clashed with The Never Ending Story, to me. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing – actually it could be just the opposite. There is voicing from James Gandolfini, and some stunning scenery.

Well, I would say it makes a change from a comic-to-film…but it’s based of a picture book. Go figure.
