Sam Raimi Talks Evil Dead 4!
An exclusive interview on EmpireOnline has been put up, with Spiderman director Sam Raimi. He has revealed that a script has now been started for Evil Dead 4 – of which apparently there is currently 9 pages in total. Going to be short and sweet then, eh Sam?
Bruce Campbell has still been confirmed as being “firmly in mind” to reprise the role of Ash. According to the interview, Raimi “revealed” some stuff on the script (of which I should imagine there were slim pickings if it’s only 9 pages long…).
He stated: “There’s some dialogue. Ash being an idiot. Ash taking some abuse. Some character stuff and then some structure of Act Two. Just other possibilities for things that could happen. It’s ideas, jokes, things we’d like to see.”
Sam is also working on his new flick Drag Me To Hell (airing May 29th), which is firmly set in the horror genre again – which he described as a labour of love. He added: “We decided we wouldn’t make it if we couldn’t do it the way we wanted to,” he explained. “It’s funny: usually you take that point of view with artistic-type films, but for me horror films can’t be deluded either. They have their own cheesy integrity that needs to be stuck to.”
