I’ve got the option of getting a new phone now. I’ve done the 12 month minimum stint before you’re allowed an upgrade and now here I am on the cusp of a decision.
I could just put up with my good old G600 for 3 more months, and for the foreseeable future even and wait for the contract to run out, and finally be out of one of the many financial commitments I find myself in these days (good thing). Or pop down to Orange and get one of those new fangled web-loving touch bastards that I want so so much. BUT I’ll be in my loveless marriage with Orange till December 2010. I don’t know what to doooo. Help?
So the Damned United premiere went down like a lead balloon. None of the starts fancied traipsing up to Jeff (Leeds) so we were lumbered with a few of the original footy team from the film, the actors who played them in the film and the CEO of Leeds Utd. I decided not to stay. One of the pluses being only this. They decided against a “red” carpet due to, and I quote, it “Reminding them too much of Manchester Utd” so someone popped out and bought a new white carpet. Said carpet is now of use to no one so I’m allowed to swipe it for Webling Towers. FTW!!!
Baby still isn’t here! Was due on Wednesday so everyones getting a bit tense now it would seem!! Hurry up baby!! I may have been slightly inappropriate when texting my friend suggesting he blow in one end and maybe the kid will pop out the other. Am I supposed to be sensitive at a time like this? No I didn’t think so…
In other news, I don’t understand how a man who spends all day every day at work, can come home at 6 and start cooking. And doesn’t stop cooking till he stomps off to bed at 10 pm. Four hours in the kitchen!! If I even try to pop down to put some toast on I get the look of “Why are you here? What are you doing? Can’t you see I’m in here now??” We’ve been having to eat so late for the last few weeks it’s no wonder I’m not sleeping properly! Another thing – how hard is it to buy loo roll? Very? Or very very?
This week I have mainly been:
Watching: Dollhouse. Lordy this show is good. Joss Whedon is such a massive legend and never seems to fail these days (we don’t count Firefly okay?). This show is sexy, clever, funny, captivating oh and sexy. Episode 7 is released soon and I can’t wait. Haven’t been this excited about a show since… um…. Dead Like Me! I miss that show. It stars Eliza Dushku who shines like a big shiny thing in this. Does that girl not age? Shes ace.
The Mentalist. Not only does it have a brilliant name it has a pretty spiffing premise too. Bloke is a natural cold reader, who used to work as a fake physic on a TV show, pretending to be able to talk to those “in the next life” and conning innocent little old ladies. A reformed man he now “helps” the police in their investigations by cold reading suspects and their families. Starring some actor I know I recognise, but can’t quite put my finger on it. I think he’s an Ozzie though. As a card carrying Derren Brown appreciator I love this.

Listening to:Podcasts!! Podcasts rock my socks. Especially Scott Mills Daily. But what to do when you’ve run out? I’ve been recording radio shows off the interweb! Found a brilliant and tres simple programme that does this and I’m very chuffed. Listened to a good 2 hours of Sunday Surgery with Aled this morning at work (on my Poddy) where they were debating whether we spend too much time online. No conclusion was reached you’ll be happy to know!
