Sam Raimi On Spider-Man 3 – It Wasn’t My Fault!
Sam Raimi has already begun distancing himself from the awful mess that was Spider-Man. Speaking to Empire magazine he had this to say on the matter…
“They really gave me a tremendous amount of control on the first two films, actually. But then there were different opinions on the third film and I didn’t really have creative control, so to speak.”
Mmm, I find that hard to believe, Sam Raimi had all the power going into that third movie, no suit would have dared try to get Sam to do something he didn’t want to do, they wouldn’t have risked him walking away from the project.
Even if Sam didn’t want Venom, as some reports suggest, I can’t see anyone making him do that stupid musical number…
That was all Raimi.
