Sony Entertainment Japan recently registered a trademark for PS Cloud prompting speculation that Sony’s next console could be cloud based.

Seemingly in response to the upcoming OnLive cloud-based console, PS Cloud is thought to be Sony’s answer to the online machine.

As expected, Sony have yet to confirm or deny the project even exists and with their promise that the PS3 will have a ten-year life span, don’t expect anything official anytime soon.
