Super Mario Rapper Hits Web!
Detroit emcee Finale has released a Flash game called ‘Super Finale’ based on Nintendo classic Super Mario Bros. The game is to promote the upcoming release of his debut album, ‘A Pipe Dream And A Promise’ and sees the iconic Super Mario soundtrack replaced by a specially commissioned 8-bit version of the rappers track, ‘One Man Show’ Click on the image below to play the game. Magnum Joins Five Killers Cast!
Tom Selleck has signed up to appear in Robert Luketic’s action comedy Five Killers. Selleck joins Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Mull. Five Killers tells the story of a hitman (Kutcher) who retires from killing people after falling in love only to find out that years later someone has put a contract out on his life. Selleck will play the father of Kutcher’s love interest (Heigl). The movie is scheduled for release in 2010. Tweet This Post
Smashing Pumpkins Drummer Leaves Band!
Jimmy Chamberlin has left the Smashing Pumpkins. No reason has been given as of yet, the Smashing Pumpkins Web Site simply states that the 44 year old has left the group. The Pumpkins, who split up in 2000 only to reunited six years later will continue without Chamberlin with Billy Corgan vowing to “continue to write and record as Smashing Pumpkins with plans to head into the studio this spring.” Tweet This Post
Wii Sells 50 Million Consoles!
Despite only being available for two years and four months, Nintendo’s Wii console has sold an amazing 50 million units worldwide, making it the fastest selling console in history. Will anything stop the Wii? Despite the Wii being the least powerful console of the current generation, it has continued to sell in record numbers. Nintendo must be very pleased with themselves, only last week was it announced that the DS had shipped over a 100 million units and now this. Impressive. Tweet This Post
Will GBA Games Be Downloadable For New DSi?
Nintendo have been quick to deny that the new DSi will be able to download GBA games direct to the handheld through a Virtua Console Internet service. Website, Kombo, reported earlier in the week that Nintendo were planning an online service for the DSi which would allow gamers to download first-party Game Boy and GBA games onto the handheld. Nintendo have told the website that although the service has been announced for Japanese gamers, it has yet to be announced for any other territory. Tweet This Post
