Hello everyone! I’m a new writer to Nerdles – I run the column “Online Games 4 Dummies”, and now I’m writing my personal blog for the site! WEWT! So I guess I’ll give a little info about who I am and what I like to do.

I’m Robbie Spencer, the social media crazy man. I’ve been a computer geek since I was really little, beginning when I was 6 and took apart my first computer. After that I just kept reading everything I could about them. HTML, CSS, Java, C++ and Networking. The Internet was also something I took to and in November of 2008 I started my own blog. It didn’t go so well, I wasn’t focused enough. So I revamped it in January and it’s been running steadily ever since.

Also, in November I got into the twitter craze. I wasn’t really impressed at first, but after about a month I really got into it and now I’m an addict. I’ve used it for business and for personal reasons. Through that medium I’ve met some people I’ve worked with, friends, and all around great people. In fact, twitter got me to Nerdles. I got into the beta of a site called blellow.com, where Guy Cross had posted an opening for a writer. I applied and here I am!

As for a little more about the real me, I attend DeVry University in Columbus, Ohio for my Network Systems Administration Associates Degree. Due to this, starting my own business, running my blog, and being involved in the Tech Columbus revolution, I stay pretty busy. But, I still enjoy all the things a regular teenager enjoys. (Oh yea, I forgot to mention, I turn 17 on April 1st.) I go shopping pretty much every weekend, listen to music 24/7 (Britney Spears FTW), and I’m a party boy. I’m a really active person too, I work out 6 days a week with a combination of cardio and a little weight lifting. I run, roller blade, swim, and bike almost everyday.

I’m a closet geek, as I do alot of geeky stuff. I play WoW as much as humanly possible (Nificel on Ghostlands…Hunters FTW). I’m a furry (think anime convention costumes, but only animals). I play DnD. I have the entire Star Wars series on DVD. And yes, I’m also a secret Star Trek fan. Gaming though, is really where my geekiness shines. I’m a heavy MMO player – you name it, I play it. As a result, I figured my column was a perfect fit. Most of what I will write about will pertain to either gaming or finance, my other passion.
