Vin Diesel, fresh from Fast and Furious has been talking about playing a superhero character.

Diesel, who was linked to play both Hellboy and Daredevil wants to get in on the superhero craze and has some interesting ideas on who he could play.

First up is Sub-Mariner. Apparently he’s been talking to Terminator 3 director Jonathon Mostow about playing the ruler of Atlantis and next up is Doctor Doom.

Yep, that’s right, Doctor Doom.

The fact that he’s talking about playing Doctor Doom could suggest that the recent talk of a grittier Fantastic Four reboot may have some substance, right?

Or it could be just a case of an actor trying to create a role for himself out of nothing.

Either way, now that Diesel has expressed a desire to play Doctor Doom, you can expect some studio execs to at least start talking about the Latvarian despot.

Personally, I’d like a stand alone Doctor Doom origin story to open alongside a Fantastic Four reboot.

But that’s just me, I’m funny that way…
