After a little break (I was sick) we are back to looking at how to hack your games console. This week The Nintendo Wii. The Wii attracted lots of attention because of it’s unique controlling system, and hackers went nuts for them too! There are a few reasons to hack your Wii, listed here.

This hack doesnt even really require for you to own a Wii, it just gives you a cool way of countrolling your existing PC. I love the idea of having the nice, slick wiimote to drive fat ugly Windows!
How to open your Wii to ‘Home Brew’ applications.
It does seem a little like de ja vu, but we can hack the wii to play DVDs and media files from an SD card. I am not 100% sure that anyone needs another DVD player, but just incase.
This is a cool website (from what I can see) that lets you use your Wii to enter a cool old-school chatroom, which is a bit of a blast from the past. It’s a nice way to pass some time though “/me thinks this is a good idea”
Use your WiiMote as a MIDI controller.
For all you music geeks out there, this is awesome! Basically, for the non music geek, this lets you control software based music instruments using your wiimote! Like rockband, but you could actually write your own music.
