A firm called DK are publishing an official Halo encyclopedia.

The Halo encyclopedia will be be a comprehensive guide to all things Halo related. It will give you background information on everything from characters, weapons, equipment to locations.

The encyclopedia will feature the entire range of Halo games but will not offer anything on Halo 4 although it will cover the upcoming Halo 3: ODST.

DK had this to say:

“[The Encyclopedia is] created in full collaboration with Microsoft, the book, which is scheduled for publication in November 2009, will give fans unprecedented insights into the Halo Universe in 352 fll-cover pages and it includes a foreword by Halo franchise development director, Frank O’Conner.”

In other Halo news, Bungie have announced that to date, 10 Billion have been killed in Halo 3 games.
