Nintendo’s Wii console hit another major sales milestone this month in Japan, selling it’s 8th million unit.

Yet, even though the Wii is Japan’s top selling console of this generation, sales lately have began to taper off leading some to speculate that the Japanese video game industry is in a poor state, unhealthy even.
