It looks like the movie adaptation of the video game Bioshock has run into some difficulties.

Yep, the movie has been put on hold due to the studio, Universal, getting cold feet about the estimated $160 million budget.

Universal are reportedly looking at overseas tax incentives before they commit to a green light.

So what does this mean?

Well, unfortunately Bioshock could find itself in the same limbo that the Halo movie currently resides in, though should Bioshock 2 be a massive seller on the Xbox 360 this Christmas then I think Universal will be a litter braver with regards to commiting the cash.
