HEY YOU GUYS!

Empire have recently released the information (and a supporting video) showing the historic date of March 17th, when The Gonnies cast and crew – including Donner and Spielberg – were reuinted for the first time in over 20 years, for the birthday issue of the ever popular film mag.

There was, of course, talk of whether there would be a sequel in the pipeline (even after 20 years).

Richard Donner simply stated: “We tried for a long time. Steven and I had many meetings with writers but nothing stuck. It seemed disrespectful.”
