Good news fans of Todd McFarlane, Spawn is coming back to the silver screen.

Spawn was first released back in 1997 and starred Michael Jai White (Universal Soldier: The Return). The movie, at the time, wasn’t well recieved critically and throughout the years has polarized fans opinion.

But now, we’re going to be getting a new movie.

Here’s what McFarlane had to say regarding his hopes for the movie…

“It’s not a comic book movie, it’s just a scary movie, a creepy movie. Everything’s real except for one element, which happens to be the character we know as Spawn.

“It’s not going to be supervillain versus superhero. Think of The Departed with something moving in the shadows.”
