The Hobbit director, Guillermo del Toro is planning on remaking a little-known made-for-tv horror which aired way back in 1973 called Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.

With the script having been written, the project has just gathered a little more steam with the news that Guy Pearce (Memento) and Bailee Madison have both signed up to star in the movie.

Already cast for the movie is Katie Holmes who will play Pearce’s girlfriend.
