It seems that the folks over at Sony are busying away at a new Resident Evil movie, which will make it the fourth in the franchise.

So far, no plot details have emerged, other than the obvious Zombie-infested world scenario.

The release date has been put forward as September 17, 2010 but this is in no way set in stone.

I suppose the question here is do we need another Resident Evil movie? Personally, I fazed out of Extinction at the half way point, basically I just got fed up with it, so a fourth movie isn’t exactly getting my inner Zombie-fanboy excited.

The rumored title for the next one is said to be Resident Evil: Afterlife which I’ve got to admit, does sound pretty cool.

Anyway, just thought I say something about these rumors, what do you guys think?
