It has been revealed that Stephen Dorff is working on a prequel to Blade.

Yep, despite the fact that he looks way older than he did in the original movie, Dorff seems set to return as Deacon Frost, his character who was killed by Wesley Snipe’s Blade way back in 1998.

Quite how they can make a prequel where the main protagonist looks older despite the story stating quite clearly that he never ages, is anyone’s guess.

This sounds like another Twilight bandwagon hop-aboard. The Blade series fizzled out after Blade Trinity took a lot of criticism. In fact, demand for a new Blade movie is at an all time low, and that’s especially so for a Blade movie without Blade, which is essentially what Dorff is proposing.

Anyway, if this movie gets made I’ll be very surprised. I foresee a long stay in development hell for this one
