Dewey Confirms Scream 4 Return!
David Arquette has confirmed that he and the missus, Courtney Cox, will both be returning for Scream 4.
The actor, who played officer Dewey Riley in the first three movies, told E! that he is pretty damn excited about reuniting with his other half onscreen.
He had this to say -
“I fell in love with my wife on Scream, so the opportunity to bring [Dewey] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it’s just going to be really fun. It’s just great. Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct. Kevin has sort of put out the broad strokes, but I don’t think I’m at liberty to share any of that.”
I’m still at a loss as to why this franchise needs to be resurrected. Okay, I know where knee-deep in remake/rehash/re imagining/reboot (just cross off where necessary) season but Scream 4?
Seriously, who was asking for it?
After Scream 3 and epsecially Scary Movie, I figured the demand for another one had died down.
Ah well. Anyway…
Wes Craven is still hoping to convince Neve Campbell to return, though as of yet, his efforts to attract her to the project have been unsuccessful.
