Saints Row Coming To PSP?
It seems likely that lucky PSP owners are going to get their hands on a PSP port of Grand Theft Auto clone Saints Row.
The news was leaked by Swedish metal band Opeth, who allegedly have contributed some of their music to the port, on their official website.
This is what the post said…
“We may not like playing video games all that much but we do like it when our music is featured on them. Makes us a bit proud even when it’s a game as big as Saints Row for the PSP, and even prouder when the nice developer poeple show excellent taste by picking ‘The Lotus Eater’ for it. So, if you love playing video games: the game is expected to hit the streets around March 2010.”
So, there you have it then, right?
Well, I’ve got no problem in believing that THQ would develop a PSP Saints Row, the problem I have is with the release date. March is a very long way off and the PSP really of needs a game like PSP to release during the holiday season if they want to ride any of the PSP Go’s momentum.
Personally I think we’ll see the game in November or early December at the latest.
Either way, after a terrible past couple of years for Sony’s handheld, it’s finally a good time to own the clunky machine, with games like Little Big Planet, Assassins Creed and Metal Gear Solid all due out in the next couple of months.
Yay! Now, if only I hadn’t sold mine…
