Robert Zemeckis Talks About Roger Rabbit Sequel!
Talking at Comic-Con, legendary filmmaker Robert Zemeckis gave some hints that a sequel to 1988 hit live-action cartoon; Who framed Roger Rabbit may be in the works.
He had this to say…
“I can neither confirm nor deny that that’s happening. [A sequel] But I will tell you this: if that ever does happen, so everyone doesn’t have to worry, the 2D animated characters from the original movie will remain 2D. They will not be dimensionalised, (is that even a word?) but who knows? There might be other 3D stuff. That’ll be down the road.”
So, from that we can probably guess that the 3D elements would be used solely for environments, like The Simpson’s movie did with certain parts of Springfield.
Anyway, I’m a bit gutted that that was all we got from Zemeckis, I’m really craving me some more Roger Rabbit and figured I get some bigger news than what we got. (We didn’t actually get any news now that I think about it.)
