EA have only gone and announced that they plan to develop a Dead Space movie.

Yep, they have even gone as far to announce that Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso is attached to helm the bugger.

For those of you who have played Dead Space on either the 360 or PS3, you’ll know that it took a lot of its inspiration from the first Alien movie and Event Horizon among others.

At this moment in time no writers have been attached but seriously, does it matter who they get for this one, it basically writes itself. Here, I’ll take a go at it…

A space-faring mining ship gets lost which results in a rescue team being sent out into deep space to locate them and figure out what the hell went wrong….so…said rescue team find the lost mining ship and discover that everyone is dead save for a few messed up scary-types who mutter all kinds of cryptic shit about opening the doors of hell…cue > monsters, and lots of them…
