Let me just say something before I share this news with you, I didn’t like Peter Jackson’s King Kong, in fact I downright hated it.

I’ll actually go further than that, I don’t like the King Kong storyline whatsoever. I’ve never like that damned dirty ape, never!

So, imagine how not excited I am with the news that Spirit Pictures have acquired the rights to Kong: King of Skull Island, which is a prequel to the story told by Jackson.

Yep, King of Skull Island supposedly tells the tale of how Kong rose to power in Skull Island, (I’m thinking dodgy elections). I mean, seriously, do we really need another King Kong movie?

Personally, I’m of the opinion that I’ve seen everything that the Kong character has to offer, a prequel won’t do anything for me, it’s not as if I’ve ever sat at home and wondered how Kong became a King.

This is a stupid idea.
