Captain America Movie News!
Speaking at last week’s Comic-Con over in San Diego, Marvel exec Kevin Fiege spilled some beans on the upcoming Captain America movie…
“This movie is Steve Roger’s origin story, and I think it is our burden to make Steve Rogers as appealing as any of our other characters…he’s just not the perfect boy scout who follows order every time. He has ideals he wants to live up to. Setting it in World War 2 – the Marvel version of World War 2 – I think is gonna open it up in another big way…What’s funny is it will actually end up being, I think, our most diverse and our most international film, in terms of the content of the movies itself.”
He went on to say that Red Skull is currently being discussed for the role of villain though nothing has been decided yet.
Joe Johnston will direct Captain America with film due to commence next June.
