Freddy Will Not Be Funny!
One of the things I was most dreading about the upcoming Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, actually the ONLY thing that has gotten me a tad apprehensive about it all is my concerns that Freddy Krueger would maintain his one-liner humor, which is the only thing I never liked about the previous installments.
Well, I needn’t worry anymore.
Jackie Earle Haley has eased my concerns…
“Krueger’s got a new look going on. We’re still true with the fedora, the sweater and the glove, but the mug is a little bit more based in reality. Our approach was to make him a little more serious. He’s a little less jokey.”
As for any sequels, he had this to say…
“I’ve signed on to do a couple more, but it needs to be successful before they do that.”
I hate the fact that we’ve got to wait until next April for this movie.

No! If they make him unfunny it’ll take away one of the main points of Freddy. It was one of his main selling points and that’s why the previous films did so well! He was funny and original.
Yes, he will still be original but just… Do we really want another serious Mr.GrumpyPants killer? Or someone with an unique personality?
